Make no mistake, nothing is a subsitute for good old fashioned handshaking in building relationships and George has built an impressive operation over the years. Recently, however, George has been reaping the rewards of using the latest social marketing tools.
In addition to creating flyers and sending out email blasts, George has been promoting his LoopNet listings to his network (who in turn spread the word) via the LoopNet’s latest social sharing links. Check out his 95 unit, ready to build, $3,147 per, 6% BBC listing which has been shared over 1,200 times. Or his 3.75 AC parcel for sale in San Antonio which has been shared 1,582 times!
George’s latest listing is a 5-star 27 story luxury hotel in Dubai which is being liquidated for $119.5MM. Granted, the deal is noteworthy in and of itself but George didnt stop at just listing the property on LoopNet; George has done everything from creating a Facebook page to posting a YouTube video. His efforts made this listing one of the most viewed listings on LoopNet last week.
George has done a tremendous job networking to get a listing from the other side of the world. “I’m out in the middle of nowhere,” says George. “I work out of a ranch. Clients come to us because of my online reach.” CBC Southwest Partners has even amassed an email distribution list of over 200k subscribers.
“We track everything.” George is able to quickly pull up a breakdown of the source of all his leads and new business over the last 30 days. According to George, social media has helped him get more new business than any other method. For example, 25% of leads for George’s $1.2 billion dollars worth of listings have come directly from blogs.
“So far our marketing strategy has been paying off very well.”
