LoopNet’s iPhone App is “Awesome”

This year at ICSC RECon 2010, we got the pleasure of talking to Jim Rufus from Sperry Van Ness. Jim is one of thousands of LoopNet iPhone App users and in this short video, he describes the iPhone App as “awesome”.

How are other people using the iPhone App? Here are a few stories that were recently shared with us at ICSC RECon:

Information On-the-Go
One member was recently golfing with a client. The client spotted a property for lease nearby and remarked that he would like to know the asking rent. The broker told his client to finish his putt while he pulled out his iPhone and started the LoopNet App. The LoopNet App immediately recognized the broker’s location via GPS and up came the property for lease. The broker told his client the property was on the market for $24/SF. His client was floored that his broker found the information so quickly.

Be the First to Know
A member was showing her friend all the multifamily properties for sale near Lake Travis, TX. While looking at multifamily properties, she came across a land parcel that was priced at $7,500. For the market she was in, this surely must have been a mistake. She called the listing broker immediately from her iPhone, discovered it was a listing that had JUST been posted and immediately bought the property. As soon as the deal was done she re-listed it on LoopNet for $45,000.

How are you using your iPhone App? We'd love to hear your stories.
