This is an excellent application. I have been an iPhone user since the 1st generation and I'm the Director of Marketing and IT at ComReal Miami Commercial Real Estate so I've always been searching for an application like this.
It is fairly simple which makes it easy and to the point.
There are a couple of features I would love to see in the future such as the capacity of taking a photo of a building you're looking at and immediately creating a listing that auto populates some of the information such as address.
It would also be great if you could drive by one of your own listings and simply hit edit and be able to take a new photo of the building or edit information on-the-go.
I'd also like to be able to see a button on the first screen that shows My Listings.
And lastly, would be useful if we could add listings to a Favorites button... so if we're driving by searching for properties we could add the ones we find to our favorites and be able to get back to them later on.

All in all, great start! Awesome app :)

Is it available for Motorola Droid?

Thanks for the comment Carolina! The product team will receive all of your suggestions and we welcome more.

Unfortunately not available for the Droid at this time.

Any plans for it to be developed for the Droid (android) in the future, Kelly? I know a number of other agents in our office who just moved to Verizon not happy with AT&T. I realize the market share is greater with iPhone but please keep the Android (MyTouch, Droid, Nexus)users in mind as we are a FAST growing group.

We have heard a lot of talk about the Droid recently. I can't commit to anything right now, but we always keep an eye on what our members are requesting. Thanks Albert!

Thanks loopnet for finally bringing one of my most used websites to my phone when on the go. As an executive in acquisitions for a REIT this application is perfect for exploring potential deals and market comps while on property inspections.

A few recommendations
1-Please add the downloadable PDFs from your website to the mobile listings so we can view (and hopefully have the option to save) the PDFs within the loopnet application - great for site plans and full package downloads. Then we could revisit the downloaded information in a document library - which could be deleted at any time.
2-The ability to add a selected property to a "Saved Properties or Favorites" list that can be pulled up quickly and takes you directly to your selected saved properties. It would be helpful to have folders (that you could create/delete and name) here too so you can save comps and new listings to market related folders (ie: Jacksonville, FL deals or Tucson Retail Junior Anchor Availabilities etc.)
-A link to email the broker if you do not want to call them or better yet a way you could download their contact information and save to contacts in the phone.

Keep up the good work and please add these features.
Best regards, Justin

One follow up note on the above item number 2. It would be helpful to be able to select map when inside a favorites or saved file folder so that you can view all of the saved properties in a given folder on a map-very useful when planning out a route for seeing the listings.

I'm another Android user (HTC Droid Eris by Verizon), and I'd like to seen an Android LoopNet app too. The Android platform is going to give iPhone a run for its money, and the Google Nexus One may well be the iPhone killer. Please join the bandwagon, and make an app for Android.

I like the App. But i see the same mistake again and again. Tech companies that provide business solutions focus on the wrong platforms.

Launching the app for iphone is ok.

But I bet most commercial real estate professionals use Black Berry.

I hope to see this app on Black Berry and Android.

Best of luck loopnet!!!!

Yes - the App works on the iPod touch. I can't commit to a Blackberry version but will forward the request. Thanks Stephanie

How about a WinMo app for the 6-8 of us out there?

Kevin said...

Great Application by the way.
I totally agree with Justin above.
The ability to add a selected property to a folder is must. Having a favorite folder is good for temporary situation not if you want to follow up and tracking it for long period of time. Favorite list will just pile up so fast and will be hard to look for what you want to see. I'd like to see that coming soon. Being able to create folders would be a life saver with e-mailing ability.
Thanks for listening, loopnet and Kelly.

Ditto here on the Droid app request. It is just comming of age and is soon to be a two platform race between apple/google(android). You can bank that both will have large market share.

Please make it happen.

just moved to the Android platform from iPhone any thoughts on this OS as it is growing at a faster pace than the iPhone OS with many more phone options nationwide and less restrictive

What about an app for the blackberry a true business platform phone?

Droid please!

Droid App PLEASE!!

jared wilbanks said...

Yes, please bring this app to the Android OS. Apple has only a third of the smartphone market share, with Android coming in 2nd and RIM (Blackberry) coming in 1st. I personally just switched to Android after almost 4 years of using the iPhone and, let me just say, I hope Apple is taking some serious notes from Google. But, that's a discussion for a different place :)

Thanks for your comment Jared. We are looking into it.
